Southwest Cranberry Relish
Serving up some Southwestern Kick in the Berries this Thanksgiving! This version of the cranberry sauce is anything but typical - but oh so delicious. A favorite of Tipsy Sonja, it pairs well with the turkey and all the traditional Thanksgiving sides, but adds a little something extra. Try is on your turkey sandwich for a little something spicy and tangy.
Mince 2 Cups of Cranberry
Living in the mix of Las Vegas culture over the years has added different flavors to Tipsy Sonja’s traditional Turkey Day dishes. She has a love of flavorful cilantro and the kick of a jalapeno. While she didn’t invent this recipe Tipsy Sonja often experiments and adjusts recipes to her liking. Try this recipe and let us know what you think! Just like Sonja, you are the artist and can adjust and experiment to find your own version of the Southwestern Cranberry Relish.
Jalapeno
Southwestern foods are known for chilis and spice, beans, tortillas and/or tortilla chips, and corn. Ever tired a Southwestern Egg Roll? It combines all of these Southwestern/Tex-Mex favorite ingredients into delicious Asian meets Mexico deep fried favorite with avocado dipping sauce! While Tipsy Sonja probably won’t be adding corn or beans to her beloved Southwestern Cranberry Relish, feel free to add complimenting ingredients to your version of Southwestern Cranberries. Maybe you like inferno hot and would prefer serrano chilis or ghost peppers in your relish. Maybe you don’t eat sugar and want to try it with sugar alternatives like Splenda or Stevia. Who knows! Maybe you want to turn it all into a new drink and add tequila, ice and blend it. It could happen… and maybe should!
Whatever your tastes are, go out and explore. You never know until you try it!
